FAQs

FAQs

What are seat risers or Seat Jackers?

Seat risers or Seat Jackers are accessories that lift and add height to vehicle seats to provide greater comfort and support. They slide under the legs of a seat to raise it higher off the floor.

What are the benefits of seat risers or Seat Jackers?

Benefits include enhanced posture, reduced lower back pain, improved leg circulation, easier entry/exit of the vehicle, and better line of sight while driving.

How much height do seat risers or Seat Jackers add?

Most seat risers add .3 to 1.25 inches of extra height.

What vehicles are compatible with seat risers or Seat Jackers?

Seat Jackers are available for most mainstream truck and car makes and models. Desert Does It offers seat risers specifically designed to fit popular vehicles like the Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Wrangler, Ford F-150, Subaru and more.

How do you install seat risers or Seat Jackers?

Seat Jackers bolt in between the factory seat mounts and the vehicle floor. No drilling or modifications required. Simple hand tools and easy instructions included. Most installations take 10 minutes or less.

Are seat risers safe?

When properly installed, our Seat Jackers are completely safe. Seat Jackers have been engineered to meet or exceed the factory bolted connection and include factory grade hardware. Our Seat Jackers have been tested by an indepentant third party lab and have passed applicable test as requried by DOT/NHSTA FMVSS 207 Standards.

What are the holes in the front of the Front Seat Jacker?

Some of our Seat Jackers allow the mounting of a Multi-Mount Panel (MMP) to the front of the block, if this is the case, there will be threaded holes to accommodate the molle panel. Not all Seat Jackers have this option.

The quality is nice but this is definitely not a direct fit for the '22 Pathfinder. The m10x40 shouldered flange bolt for door side (front) bottomed on the shoulder with 5mm to go. I had to buy a bolt with the right thread & shoulder lengths for this. I'd say it's easily 10-15 mm too long, there's a ton of excess hanging down under the pan. Same for the m10x30 tunnel side bolt but it was full thread so no issues bottoming out.
Additionally the m10x20 hex socket bolts were too short and i had to buy 25mm long bolts to get full thread engagement. The 20mm bolts only caught about 5mm of thread and surely would have stripped with any torque.
On the rear, the rubber locater pin on the seat mount does not reach the shim cutout, showing this in the instructions adds confusion. In front and rear the mounts have standoffs that drop into the carpet cutout that i don't think this kit takes into account. They are about 15-20mm (roughly) height and easily account for all the sizing issues i saw.
My only complaint is having to stop in the middle of the job and run to the store to buy new hardware at ~ $30 when i already spent $150 on the kit.

Passenger seat is FINALLY right!

I am very thankful that we found you through an online group for Nissan Pathfinders. I love my 2023 Rock Creek Pathfinder EXCEPT the passenger seat was so low, I had to buy a cushion to be able to see out! Your kit fixed it completely and the cushion is no more!! Thank you so much....and the installation was easy to follow!!

I have the kit to install the seat jackers on a 2026 Nissan Pathfinder. Can you tell me how to remove the covers the are over the bolts holding the seat in place in the front and back of the seat? It appears there are plastic covers over the screws attached to the seat rails.

Thanks.
L

Desert Does It

They use clips to hold them on so usually you can gently pry them apart and they should come off. You could also try a plastic pry tool
