Subaru Front Seat Jackers (Crosstrek / Forester / Outback / WRX / Impreza / Ascent) — Install Guide

Before You Start

• Tools needed: 12mm or 14mm socket and ratchet
• A helper is recommended for lifting the seat.

Important Note

To help prevent cross-threading during installation, always start bolts by hand and ensure they thread smoothly before tightening.

Step One — Remove Front Bolts

• Remove plastic trim pieces, if applicable.
• Remove both front factory seat bolts using a 12mm or 14mm socket.
• Loosen the rear seat bolts, but do not remove them.

Note: The factory M10 fine-thread bolts will be reused in Step Three.

Step Two — Lift the Seat

• Lift the front of the seat by pushing backward on the headrest.
• Alternatively, have a helper gently pull the headrest toward them from the rear seat.

Step Three — Install Seat Jackers to Floor

• Position the Seat Jackers under the front seat mounts.
• Apply Blue Loctite to the factory M10 fine-thread bolts.
• Use the factory bolts to fasten the Seat Jackers to the vehicle floor.
• Torque the bolts to 39.1ft-lbs.

IMPORTANT — The factory bolts are used to secure the Seat Jackers to the floor.

Step Four — Attach Seat to Seat Jackers

• Apply Blue Loctite to the provided M10-1.25 x 20mm bright-finish flange bolts.
• Thread the bolts through the seat rails and into the Seat Jackers.
• Start all bolts by hand and leave them finger-tight for alignment.

IMPORTANT — Alignment Tip

If the seat rail holes do not line up:

• Lift the seat rail approximately 1/4 inch.
• Start the bolt a few threads.
• Adjust the seat rails independently until the holes are properly aligned.

Never force or cross-thread the bolts.

Step Five — Final Torque Sequence

Torque all four bolts to 39.1ft-lbs in the following order:

1. Front Right
2. Front Left
3. Rear Right
4. Rear Left

Final Check

• Verify all bolts are torqued to specification.
• Confirm the Seat Jackers and seat are securely mounted.
• Recheck bolt torque after a few days of driving.
