Toyota Front Seat Jackers (1996-2002 4Runner) — Install Guide

Important Note

To help prevent cross-threading during installation, verify the bolts and threads by taking the applicable bolts and threading them into the corresponding holes by hand. Do not force the bolts.

Step 1 — Remove Factory Bolts

1. Remove both front factory seat base bolts using a 14mm socket.
2. Loosen the two rear seat bolts almost completely, but do not remove them.

Step 2 — Lift the Front of the Seat

1. Lift the front of the front seat by pushing back on the headrest.
2. Alternatively, have a helper sit in the back seat and gently pull the headrest toward them.

Step 3 — Install the Seat Jackers

1. Place each rectangular Seat Jacker under the corresponding seat rail with the threaded hole facing toward the rear.
2. Loosely thread the provided long fine-thread bolts through each Seat Jacker and into the vehicle floor.

Step 4 — Torque the Seat Jackers

1. With the seat rails resting on the Seat Jackers, confirm the bolt holes in the seat rails line up with the threaded holes in the Seat Jackers.
2. Torque both long fine-thread bolts to 27ft-lbs.

Step 5 — Install the Seat Bolts

1. Thread the remaining shorter coarse-thread bolts with the provided washers through the seat rails and into the Seat Jackers.

IMPORTANT — IF THE SEAT RAIL HOLE DOES NOT LINE UP:
Lift the seat rail approximately 0.25 inches and thread the bolt in a couple of turns. If needed, adjust the seat rails one at a time to get them lined up.

Step 6 — Torque All Bolts

1. Torque all four front bolts and two rear bolts to 27ft-lbs.

Final Check

• Confirm the rectangular Seat Jackers are positioned with the threaded holes facing toward the rear.
• Confirm the long fine-thread bolts are properly installed and torqued.
• Confirm the shorter coarse-thread bolts and washers are properly installed.
• Confirm all four front bolts and two rear bolts are torqued to 27ft-lbs.
• Confirm the seat rails are properly aligned.
