Mazda Adjustable Seat Jackers 2017-2025 CX-5 / 2016-2023 CX-9 / 2019-2025 Mazda 3 (Front or Rear Driver/Passenger Seat) — Install Guide

Important Notes

• To help prevent cross-threading during installation, verify bolts and threads by taking the applicable bolts and threading them into the corresponding holes by hand. Do not force the bolts.
• Seat Jackers are sloped. The larger side must face forward.
• If installing both front and rear Seat Jackers, make sure the larger side of every Seat Jacker faces forward.
• Rear Seat Jacker installation follows the same basic steps, but the process is reversed.

Step 1 — Remove the Factory Bolts

1. Remove any plastic trim at the feet of the seat.
2. Remove both front factory seat base bolts.
3. Loosen the two rear seat bolts, but do not remove them.

Step 2 — Lift the Seat

1. Lift the front of the seat by pushing back on the headrest.
2. Alternatively, have a helper pull upward from the back seat.

Step 3 — Select the Seat Jacker Configuration

1/2" Lift — One Seat Jacker Shim

1. Choose the Seat Jacker with the threaded hole in front and "Seat Jackers" engraved on it.
2. Place one Seat Jacker under each front seat rail between the rail and the carpet.
3. The threaded hole faces forward.

1" Lift — Two Seat Jacker Shims

1. Take both Seat Jacker shims and stack them together. The shims are notched and will nest together.
2. Place the Seat Jacker stack at each front seat mounting point between the seat rail and the carpet.
3. The shim with the threaded hole and "Seat Jackers" engraving goes on top.
4. The threaded hole faces forward.

Step 4 — Install the Seat Jackers

1. Take the provided 50mm Button Head bolts and thread them through the seat rails, through the Seat Jackers, and into the floor of the vehicle.
2. The 50mm bolts are used with either the one-shim or two-shim configuration.

IMPORTANT — If the seat rail holes do not line up:
Lift the seat approximately 1/4 inch and thread the bolt in a couple of turns by hand. If needed, adjust the seat rails one at a time to get everything lined up. Confirm the rear seat bolts are loose enough to allow proper alignment. Do not force or cross-thread the bolts.

Step 5 — Final Torque

1. Torque the two front bolts and two rear bolts to 30ft-lbs.
2. Reinstall any plastic trim pieces removed in Step 1.

Final Check

• Verify all seat bolts are properly installed and torqued to 30ft-lbs.
• Confirm the larger side of every Seat Jacker is facing forward.
• Confirm the Seat Jackers are seated securely and properly aligned.
• Confirm the seat is securely mounted.
• Reinstall all removed trim pieces.
