Installation Instructions
Important Notes
Prior to beginning this or any installation, read these instructions to familiarize yourself with the required steps and evaluate whether you are experienced and capable of personally performing these modifications.
A factory service manual for the air compressor and vehicle should be used in conjunction with these installation instructions.
To help prevent cross-threading during installation, verify bolts and threads by taking the applicable bolts and threading them into the corresponding holes by hand. Do not force the bolts.
Depending on the floor mats in your vehicle, they may interfere with the Compressor Plate.
IMPORTANT — Prior to installing the compressor under the seat, prewire the compressor according to the directions included with your compressor. Be sure to route all wires so they are free and clear of any hazards or high-heat areas.

- The mounting holes for your compressor of choice should be easily identifiable.
- The Compressor Plate is universal and can be configured depending on which side of the vehicle it is being installed on.
Step 3 — Install the Kickplate and Quick Connect Plate
- Using the provided hardware, attach the Kickplate and Quick Connect Plate.
- Use the provided M6 bolts, washers, and nuts to attach the Kickplate and Quick Connect Plate.
- Place the washers on the slotted side of the plate.
- On the driver or passenger seat, remove the rear factory seat base bolts using a T50 Torx (JLU) or E12 E-Torx (JT).
- Loosen the front seat bolts, but DO NOT REMOVE them.
Quick Connect Plate Position:
• Passenger side — Slide the Quick Connect Plate all the way toward the transmission tunnel.
• Driver side — Slide the Quick Connect Plate toward the door.
Step 4 — Position the Compressor Plate
- Lift the back side of the seat to slide the Compressor Plate into place.
- Be careful not to damage any wire harness plugs.
- The two 1/2" holes will slide underneath each rear seat leg.
Step 5 — Install the Spacers
- Slide the two provided 1/4" spacers underneath the Compressor Plate.
Note: The spacers fill the gap created by the carpet.

- Use the provided bolts to reattach the rear of the seat to the floor.
- Pull each front bolt and apply Blue Loctite.
- Secure the front of the seat to the floor.

Mounting a Twin ARB Compressor
- The twin ARB compressors allow the outlet port to be configured to best suit the installation position and desired hose routing.
- For maximum clearance, rotate the outlet port toward the bottom of the compressor and feed the air hose underneath the compressor.
- The outlet area is the tallest part of the compressor, so rotating it as low as possible provides the most clearance.
Mounting a VIAIR Compressor
- Remove any rubber bumpers or stand-offs from the VIAIR brackets.
- Unbolt the "L-Type" brackets from the VIAIR compressor and rotate them 90 degrees.
- This allows the compressor to sit flush against the Desert Does It Compressor Mount.
- Position the "L-Type" bracket nearest the filter inward and the bracket nearest the air outlet outward.
- Mount the VIAIR compressor with the outlet hose facing the passenger door.
- From underneath the Desert Does It Compressor Mount, install the bolts through the VIAIR "L-Type" brackets.
Final Check
• Verify all applicable seat bolts are properly installed and torqued.
• Confirm the Compressor Plate and attached components are secure.
• Confirm all wiring is routed away from hazards and high-heat areas.
• Verify the compressor and air hose are properly positioned and clear of surrounding components.
