Installation Instructions

Seat Jacker Installation Instructions

Important Notes

  • Repeat these steps for both the front and rear of the seat.
  • Colorado/Canyon: These instructions apply to the rear of the seat only.
  • To help prevent cross-threading, verify each bolt and threaded hole before installation by threading the applicable bolt into its corresponding hole by hand.
  • Do not force a bolt if it does not thread smoothly by hand.

Step 1 — Remove and Loosen Factory Bolts

If applicable, remove the plastic trim around the seat base.

  1. Remove the two front factory seat bolts.
  2. Loosen the two rear seat bolts, but do not remove them.

Step 2 — Lift the Front of the Seat

Lift the front of the seat by either:

  • Pushing back on the headrest, or
  • Having a helper pull upward from the back seat.

Lift the front of the seat enough to access the front mounting points.

Step 3 — Choose Your Lift Height

1/2" Lift — One Seat Jacker Shim

  1. Use one Seat Jacker shim with the through-holes.
  2. Place one shim under each seat rail, between the seat rail and the carpet.
  3. Make sure the notch faces toward the underside of the seat.

Continue to Step 4.

1" Lift — Two Seat Jacker Shims

  1. Stack the two Seat Jacker shims together.
  2. The notches are designed to nest together.
  3. Place the stacked shims between the seat rail and the carpet at each front mounting point.
  4. The shim with the two outward-facing tabs should be on top.
  5. Make sure the notch faces toward the underside of the seat.

Continue to Step 4.

Step 4 — Install the 60mm Bolts

Using the provided 60mm bolts and washers, install each bolt through:

Seat Rail → Seat Jacker Shim(s) → Vehicle Floor

Start each bolt by hand and thread it several turns before using a tool.

IMPORTANT — SEAT RAIL ALIGNMENT

If the seat rail holes do not line up with the Seat Jacker and factory mounting holes:

  1. Lift the seat approximately 1/4".
  2. Start the bolt by hand and thread it a couple of turns.
  3. If necessary, adjust the seat rails one at a time until the holes line up.
  4. Confirm that the rear seat bolts are loose enough to allow the seat to move into alignment.

Never force or cross-thread the bolts.

Step 5 — Torque All Seat Bolts

Once all bolts are properly started and the seat is fully aligned:

  • Torque the two front bolts to 30 ft-lbs.
  • Torque the two rear factory bolts to 30 ft-lbs.

Step 6 — Reinstall Seat Trim

Reinstall any plastic trim pieces removed during Step 1.

NOTE: The plastic trim can be unclipped and moved downward during installation. The top portion may not fully clip back into place, but the trim will remain in position. Not applicable for Colorado/Canyon.

            - Check bolt torque at regular intervals and don’t forget to post a review.
