Seat Jackers Installation Instructions
Before You Start
- Tools needed: 14mm socket, ratchet
- A helper is recommended for lifting the seat
IMPORTANT:
To prevent cross-threading, always start bolts by hand and ensure they thread smoothly before tightening.
Step 1 – Remove Front Bolts
- Remove both front factory seat bolts (14mm socket).
- Loosen the rear seat bolts almost completely (do not remove).
Step 2 – Lift the Seat
- Lift the front of the seat by pushing back on the headrest.
- Or have a helper gently pull the headrest from the rear seat.
Step 3 – Install Seat Jackers (Base)
- Position each Seat Jacker under the seat rails with the threaded hole facing toward the rear.
- Loosely install the long fine-thread bolts through the Seat Jackers into the floor.
- Start all bolts by hand.
Step 4 – Align and Torque Base Bolts
- Lower the seat so the rails rest on the Seat Jackers.
- Confirm seat rail holes align with the threaded holes in the Seat Jackers.
- Torque the long fine-thread bolts to 27 ft-lbs.
Step 5 – Attach Seat to Seat Jackers
- Install the shorter coarse-thread bolts with provided washers through the seat rails into the Seat Jackers.
- Start bolts by hand before tightening.
IMPORTANT ALIGNMENT TIP
If the seat rail holes do not line up:
- Lift the seat rail approximately ¼ inch
- Start the bolt a few threads
- Adjust the seat rails one at a time until aligned
Step 6 – Final Torque
- Torque all front and rear seat bolts to 27 ft-lbs.
Final Check
- Verify all bolts are torqued to spec
- Recheck torque after a few days of driving
You're done. Enjoy the improved seating position.
