Toyota Front Seat Jackers (1995-2004 Tacoma) — Install Guide

Important Note

To help prevent cross-threading during installation, verify bolts and threads by taking the applicable bolts and threading them into the corresponding holes by hand. Do not force the bolts.

Step 1 — Remove the Factory Bolts

1. Remove both front factory seat base bolts using a 14mm socket.
2. Loosen the two rear seat bolts, but do not remove them.

Step 2 — Lift the Seat

1. Lift the front of the seat by pushing back on the headrest.
2. Alternatively, have a helper sit in the back seat and gently pull the headrest toward them.

Step 3 — Install the Transmission Tunnel Seat Jacker

1. Take the rectangular Seat Jacker and position it under the seat rail nearest the transmission tunnel.
2. Position the Seat Jacker with the threaded hole toward the back.
3. Take one of the longer fine-thread bolts and loosely thread it through the Seat Jacker and into the floor of the vehicle.

Step 4 — Install the Door-Side Seat Jacker

1. Take the square Seat Jacker with tab and slide it under the seat rail nearest the door.
2. Position the tab facing down.
3. Take the remaining long fine-thread bolt and thread it through the tab of the Seat Jacker and into the floor.

Step 5 — Torque the Seat Jackers

1. Torque both fine-thread bolts to 27ft-lbs.

Step 6 — Check Seat Rail Alignment

1. With the seat rails resting on the Seat Jackers, confirm the bolt holes in the seat rails line up with the threaded holes in the Seat Jackers.
2. If needed, loosen the fine-thread bolts, realign the Seat Jackers, and re-torque.

Step 7 — Install the Seat Rail Bolts

1. Thread the remaining shorter coarse-thread bolts with the provided washers through the seat rails and into the Seat Jackers.

IMPORTANT — If the seat rail hole does not line up:
Lift the seat rail approximately 0.25 inches and thread the bolt in a couple of turns. If needed, adjust the seat rails one at a time until the holes line up. Do not force or cross-thread the bolts.

Step 8 — Final Torque

1. Torque all four front bolts and two rear bolts to 27ft-lbs.

Final Check

• Verify all seat bolts are properly installed and torqued to 27ft-lbs.
• Confirm both Seat Jackers are positioned correctly and seated securely.
• Confirm all seat rail holes are properly aligned.
• Confirm the seat is securely mounted.
