INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Step One: Clean the inside face of each aluminum C bracket with the provided alcohol wipe.
  2. Step Two:
    1. Small QDM: Take the provided black foam, remove backing and install on the inside face of each of the four aluminum C brackets. Be careful not to overlap the hinge or pin portions of the bracket.
    2. Medium QDM with 2.9” Diameter Fire Extinguisher: Take the 1/4” thick black foam (thicker black foam), remove backing and install on the inside face of each of the four aluminum C brackets. Be careful not to overlap the hinge or pin portions of the bracket.
    3. Medium QDM with 3” Diameter Fire Extinguisher: Take the 1/8” thick black foam (thinner black foam), remove backing and install on the inside face of each of the four aluminum C brackets. Be careful not to overlap the hinge or pin portions of the bracket.
    4. Large QDM with 3.1” Diameter Fire Extinguisher: Take the 1/4” thick black foam (thinner black foam), remove backing and install on the inside face of each of the four aluminum C brackets. Be careful not to overlap the hinge or pin portions of the bracket.
    5. Large QDM with 3.2”+ Diameter Fire Extinguisher: Take the 1/8” thick black foam (thinner black foam), remove backing and install on the inside face of each of the four aluminum C brackets. Be careful not to overlap the hinge or pin portions of the bracket.
  3. Step Three: Take two of the flathead bolts and thread them through each C bracket into the flat mount. Be sure the C Brackets open in the same direction. Tighten down with the 2.5mm Allen Key but be careful not to over torque. Repeat this on the other C bracket.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Step One: With at least two bolts, find the preferred mounting position of the fire extinguisher. Be sure the brackets have full movement and allow the extinguisher to be removed once the 4” SS Pin has been removed.
  2. Step Two: Thread the four button head bolts through the Desert Does It MMP into the Quick Drop Mount (QDM) and torque bolts. If needed, medium thread locker can be used.
  3. Step Three: Insert Fire Extinguisher of choice into the QDM, compress foam strips, line up the holes for the 4” stainless steel pin and insert Pin into the pinholes of each ring.
  4. Step Four: Run the 4” stainless steel pin in and out a couple times to ensure proper operation.
