Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997 - 2002 Seat Jackers — Install Guide

Important Note

To help prevent cross-threading during installation, verify bolts and threads by taking the applicable bolts and threading them into the corresponding holes by hand. Do not force the bolts.

Step 1 — Remove the Factory Bolts

1. Remove both front factory seat base bolts.
2. Loosen the rear seat bolts, but do not remove them. The rear bolts have a spring cover.
3. Use a T50 Torx and 13mm socket as required.

Step 2 — Lift the Seat

1. Lift the front of the seat by pushing back on the headrest.
2. Alternatively, have a helper sit in the back seat and gently pull the headrest toward them.

Step 3 — Select the Seat Jacker Configuration

One Shim

If installing one Seat Jacker shim, use the shim with "Seat Jackers" engraved on it.

Two Shims

If installing both Seat Jacker shims, the shim with "Seat Jackers" engraved on it goes on top.

Step 4 — Install the Seat Jackers

1. Place the Seat Jackers under the front seat mounts.
2. Apply Blue Loctite to the provided M8 Socket Head Bolts.
3. Use the M8 bolts to fasten the Seat Jackers to the vehicle floor.
4. Use the correct bolt length based on your configuration:
   • One shim: Use the provided 40mm bolt.
   • Two shims: Use the provided 50mm bolt.
5. Torque both bolts to 25ft-lbs.

IMPORTANT — If the seat rail does not line up:
Lift the seat rail approximately 0.25 inches and thread the bolt in a couple of turns. If needed, adjust the seat rails independently to get them properly aligned. Do not force or cross-thread the bolts.

Step 5 — Torque the Front Bolts

1. Torque the front bolts to 25ft-lbs.

Step 6 — Re-Torque the Rear Door-Side Bolt

1. Re-torque the rear 13mm hex bolt on the door side to 25ft-lbs.

Step 7 — Re-Torque the Rear T50 Bolt

1. Re-torque the rear T50 bolt to 35 ft-lbs.

Step 8 — Installation Complete

Installation is complete. Now sit back and enjoy.

Final Check

• Verify the front bolts are torqued to 25ft-lbs.
• Verify the rear door-side 13mm bolt is torqued to 25ft-lbs.
• Verify the rear T50 bolt is torqued to 35ft-lbs.
• Confirm the seat is secure and properly aligned.
